Essentials For Growth 'Stuff we Need Now!’ Fundraiser

Dear GMUUC Members and Friends,

First, our deepest thanks to all those who’ve contributed to GMUUC’s short-term fundraiser:

We are half way to our goal of $37,000!

In this final week, can we count on your support and ensure that Georgia Mountains UU Church will be able to:

• Clean up our Well Water

• Expand our Parking Lot by 24 Spaces

• Add 22 More Sanctuary Chairs & 40+ Folding Chairs 

• Enable Flexibility in Pulpit Location on Stage

• Install a Bigger Name Badge Cabinet

And there’s a bonus from all of our contributions: A Matching Challenge:

For every $1 gifted toward these improvements, two members will gift $1 toward the Building, Grounds & Technology Reserve (up to $35,000). The Reserve is considered fully funded at 10% of our Operating budget. This year, that would be around $28,000. The Reserve’s current balance is a meager $2,500.

WE CAN DO IT!

From 2020-2022, members and friends generously gave $1.47 million to purchase the current site and build our beautiful facility – with NO DEBT.  

Now, we are asking for an additional $37,000 to support GMUUC’s continued growth over the next several years!  We are counting on both longtime and newer members who did not have the opportunity to contribute to building our new home.
