“The vote is precious. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democratic society, and we must use it .”

May Day of Observance May 17 - IDAHOBIT
IDAHOBIT stands for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and
Transphobia. It is a global awareness day dedicated to challenging discrimination,
prejudice and violence directed at lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex
people. The day is coordinated internationally through an Advisory Group and, since
2023, its global secretariat has been hosted by ILGA World, the International Lesbian,
Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association. IDAHOBIT is not a single centralised
campaign but rather a decentralised mobilisation moment – communities across the
globe are free to organise events, campaigns and actions that reflect their own local
contexts and priorities.
